Foundations of Higher Degree Research (HDR) Supervision Workshops are a core component of the ANU HDR Supervision Development Framework.

Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshops are directed at those new to supervision, but all HDR supervisors are welcome. Participation in a Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshop is a required component of ANU HDR Supervisor registration for those new to supervision. There is no cost for these workshops.

Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshops – 2020

Facilitators – Professor Peter Kanowski, Deputy Dean (HDR Supervision) and Dr Jacqui Hoepner, Early Career Fellow (HDR Supervision).

Focus – The Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshop situates HDR supervision in the context of ANU policies and procedures, discusses core elements of good supervisory practice, and explores principles of successful supervision. Some of these workshops (*) are offered as part of the Centre for Learning and Teaching's (CLT) Foundations of University Teaching and Learning course.
