Learning and Teaching
UPDATED 22 MAY 2024
Enabling a world-class learning and teaching experience
In support of the ANU Learning & Teaching Strategy, we are modernising our learning ecosystem to better meet the needs of our students, staff, industry partners and government.
Recent initiatives we've delivered
Melville Hall revitalised
We upgraded Melville Hall with new audiovisual technology including 6 screens and projectors, 55 speakers, as well as Microsoft Teams and Zoom integrated cameras and microphones – making dual delivery or hybrid teaching more accessible.
MyTimetable
In June 2022, we introduced MyTimetable which enables students to personalise their own timetables in real time. Teaching staff can now also plan and manage clashes, allocations or waitlists and change classes and cohorts quickly and easily.
New library system
In 2022, we went live with the new ANU library management system. This links with Wattle for easier access to library collections, allowing academics to build and manage their course reading lists, which can then be automatically accessed by students.
Upgrades to learning systems
We launched the new version of the University’s curriculum management system (CMS), now on a supported version which meets our legislated reporting data capture associated with the National Priorities and Industry Linkage Fund (NPILF).
What's coming next
As part of a program of educational renewal across the University, we will roll out new, world-class learning, student placements and careers management systems to better meet the learning and teaching needs of our students and staff.
