ANU Learning and Teaching Strategy

Business owner: Professor Maryanne Dever

The ANU Learning and Teaching Strategy was approved by Academic Board on 18 October 2022. The Strategy provides a future-focussed whole-of-university approach, outlining the necessary goals and actions required to enhance learning and teaching at ANU for staff and students.

Developed with extensive consultation, the Strategy connects all elements that are critical to our success in learning and teaching. Its alignment to the ambitions of the ANU Strategic Plan, ANU by 2025, ensures it contributes to delivering a student experience equal to the world’s best.

The Strategy defines our distinctive approach to learning and teaching and identifies the skills, competencies and supports needed to secure and maintain our position as a leading university. The Strategy establishes shared expectations across the university and guides the application of organisational resources.

The Learning and Teaching Strategy works together with the new Curriculum Framework, that was approved by Academic Board on 29 November 2022, to establish a clear and connected pathway forward for education at the ANU.
