Linux ANU Secure connection guide

Configuring and connecting

  1. Click the Gnome Connection Manager dropdown.
  2. Select ANU-Secure.
  3. Change authentication settings.
  4. Enter your login information:
    • Username: University ID (eg. 'u1234567')
    • Password: Univesity (Identity) password
  5. Certificate should be left blank.

Click Connect Try browsing to an off-campus website to verify your connection is working.

Notes for Linux

  • ANU Secure should work on any linux distribution running a recent version of Gnome Network Manager
  • We only provide instructions for Ubuntu as the process will be similar for all distribution 
  • Recent Ubuntu OS versions have changed the dialog box for wifi connections, including requiring a step to click a checkbox when a CA certificate is not being used.
