How to reconnect Wi-Fi on mobile devices after password reset
System: Identity Manager
After resetting your password you will be required to reconnect to ANU Secure.
Windows laptop
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Network & Internet.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select Manage known networks.
- Select ANU-Secure.
- Select Forget.
- Select Show available network.
- Select ANU-Secure > Connect.
- Select Connect again.
- Enter your University IDand your new Identity password.
- Check the box that advises to use my network account.
- Select Connect.
iOS
To re-authenticate if prompted;
- Enter your University ID and new Identity password.
- Select Apply.
If you are not prompted. Access your mobile devices Wi-Fi settings.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select ANU Secure.
- Select Forget this Network.
- When prompted select Forget.
- Under Choose a Network, select ANU Secure.
- Enter your University ID and new Identity password.
- Select Join.
- A certificate will appear, Select Trust.
Once complete you will be able to access the ANU Secure Wi-Fi network.
MAC
- Select the Wi-Fi symbol along the top menu bar.
- Select Open Network Preferences at the bottom of the drop down menu.
- Select Wi-Fi in the menu on the left.
- Select Advanced located at the bottom right of the pop-up window.
- Select ANU Secure then the - (minus) sign.
- Select OK.
- Select the Wi-Fisymbol again in the menu bar.
- If Wi-Fi is off, select Turn Wi-Fi on.
- Select ANU Secure.
- Enter your username University ID.
- Enter your new Identity password.
Android
- Navigate to Settings.
- Navigate to Connections.
- Select Wi-Fi
- Select ANU Secure network and hold finger down to open.
- A pop up will appear, Select Forget Network.
- To reconnect, select ANU Secure in the Wi-Fi menu.
- For identity use your Univeristy ID.
- Enter your new Identity password.
- Under CA Certificate, select a Certificate.
- Select Validate.
- Select Connect.
