67. First aid

We are aware of an issue affecting the numbering of sub-clauses in the web version of the Enterprise Agreement. This is currently being reviewed. In the meantime, please refer to the PDF version of the Agreement for accurate clause numbering if required.

67.1. A first aid officer refers to a suitably qualified staff member who is designated to administer first aid including mental health first aid in the workplace.

67.2. A first aid officer will be paid the relevant allowance specified in schedule 4.7 (First aid allowance).

67.3. To be eligible for payment of the relevant allowance, a first aid officer must hold a current:

  1. certificate of first aid competency or be a registered health professional such as a medical practitioner or a nurse; and
  2. accreditation in mental health first aid or be a registered health professional with expertise in mental health.

67.4. The provision of first aid services at the University will be governed in accordance with the relevant University procedures.
