This workshop addresses the concept of time management through a very unique lens! Not only is managing our time important, but equally so we have to manage our energy and cognitive capability.

This course examines all three to provide you with the knowledge and tools to help you manage your multiple resources (time, energy, brain power) to get the most out of your day. Appropriate for all levels of work and for those who want to understand how to maximise their brain power, physical energy and have practical tools to plan and manage our most precious resource: time!

  • Understand the three resources we have to manage when wanting to boost our productivity, effectiveness and focus.
  • Have multiple tools to prioritise workload (including the strategic work that is often pushed out the way for the BAU load).
  • Know how to maximise own cognitive function and boost and maintain energy throughout working hours using Neuro-hacks and Bio-hacks.
  • Know how to plan workload to cater for our 'prime task' times.
  • Pinpoint own 'pain points' with time management and effectively plan to address these.
  • Understand 'Time Management' vs. ‘Energy Management’.

Presenting is a valuable way to share your ideas, expertise and value to others – but only wheb your presentation is structured and delivered the right way.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to better engage audiences by weaving in storytelling, persuasive and interactive techniques that keep people listening. Whether you’re explaining procurement decisions, policy updates, technical topics, or other workplace subject-matter, there’s an approach and a structure to suit. We’ll explore several of them in the workshop.

Through a mix of solo and group work, drafting, and live rehearsals, you will improve your skills and confidence presenting in a range of different settings.

You will learn about:

  • Preparation – Knowing how to allocate the right time and pre-work for different audiences; designing the presentation with VAK principles (visual, auditory and kinaesthetic); knowing which structure to use for different presentations.
  • Structure – Developing the right response for different situations, whether a 1-minute contribution during a meeting, a 20-minute stakeholder presentation, or a 60-minute staff training session.
  • Storytelling – Making technical content relatable with meaningful examples, the right degree of context, a ‘what’s in it for them’ approach and other techniques.
  • Visuals – Planning your presentation to include the right visual elements, selected and designed to meet the audience needs.
  • Rehearsal and delivery – Several techniques that can help to calm nerves and project an authoritative presence.
  • Troubleshooting – Drawing on established techniques to deal with several common problems that presenters face in live speaking situations.
