National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) Facility
National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) Facility, an initiative of the Australian Government, is hosted by ANU. NCI is jointly funded by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research under its National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (Platforms for Collaboration) program, CSIRO and ANU.
Visit the National Computational Infrastructure Facility website for further information.
Research Data Storage Infrastructure (RDSI)
The Research Data Storage Infrastructure (RDSI) Project, an initiative of the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education, and funded through the Education Investment Fund under the Super Science (Future Industries) initiative.
Led by the University of Queensland, the RDSI project will provide significantly increased capacity for research data holdings; developing and improving associated access and data sharing capabilities; and enhancing the capability and capacity to provide research data services to the sector. The result is intended to be a data storage framework that will assist institutions and researchers to more effectively use, manage, share and preserve much larger holdings of research data.
Visit the Research Data Storage Infrastructure website for further information.
National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources (NeCTAR)
The Australian National University will establish a node of the NeCTAR Research Cloud at the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) to enhance the scale and reach of data-intensive science nationally. It will provide generic cloud resources, as well as tailored facilities through NCI-funded hardware enhancements, establishing environments tailored to community needs.
Visit the National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources website for further information.
Australian National Data Service (ANDS)
Australian National Data Service (ANDS) is building the Australian Research Data Commons - a cohesive collection of research resources from all research institutions, to make better use of Australia's research data outputs, and to provide a set of data collections that are shareable; infrastructure that enables populating and exploiting the commons, and connections between the data, researchers, research, instruments and institutions
