Legislation news: Higher Doctorates Rule 2015

17 Nov 2015

The Vice-Chancellor has approved the new Higher Doctorates Rule 2015, which replaces the former Higher Doctorates Rules (No. 2) 2014. The changes to the Rule make the Vice-Chancellor the sole officer of the University empowered to award the University's highest doctorate (previously the authority lay with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor). The re-drafting of the Rule has also presented the opportunity to modernise the Rule to reflect contemporary legislative drafting practices.

The Rule has effect from 17 November 2015.
