  • Level E2 and E3

Changes since 2023: in effect for 2024

  • Just one Relative to Opportunity statement is needed (if applicable); removal of need to provide a specific separate 2020-2021/Covid Relative to Opportunity statement.
  • Statements of Contribution are now four A4 pages maximum, with further emphasis of inclusion of impact of  leadership and Values, for all academic levels, (see 8b of Academic Promotion procedure and relevant academic level application form for further information).
  • Change from application 'endorsement' to 'statement' for supervisor and Director, and requirement (instead of optional) for these statements, and supervisor, Director and Dean must declare any conflict of interest with applicant.
  • Assessment is still holistic of entire career, however emphasis is placed on momentum and upward trajectory of achievements, especially since last promotion or appointment.
  • Applicable to 'In the Practice of' applicants only: provisions for 'In the Practice of' applicants to provide an additional statement (two A4 pages maximum) which specifically addresses their 'In the Practice of' achievements, and requirement that an additional committee member with the relevant 'In the Practice of' expertise join the relevant promotion committee to assess the applicant.
