Academic Promotions Information Session - All Staff
Information sessions provide practical information and advice regarding the academic promotion process, including how to prepare a case for promotion, such as written application and interview.
In 2024, both a virtual and in-person information session for all staff will be hosted by Professor Grady Venville, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), 2023 Chair of the University Promotion Committee. An opportunity for Q&A will also be provided.
Video recordings of the level B - E information sessions held in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 are available to watch online. These sessions provided information and advice for applicants and feature guest speakers who were successful in their promotion applications in previous years. The 2024 virtual information session will be recorded and will be made available shortly after the information session.
It is recommended that all staff considering application for promotion attend the relevant information session and watch the video recordings of the 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 information sessions. Supervisors are also encouraged to attend.
Academic Promotion Information session for women
An in-person information session providing practical information and advice regarding the academic promotion process, tailored specifically to female applicants will be an open and interactive event hosted by Professor Grady Venville, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), and Chair of the 2023 University Promotion Committee.
It is highly recommended that all women considering application for promotion to any level attend this information session.
