This workshop focuses on how to use Word efficiently within an academic setting to:

  • add graphics and Excel elements
  • apply captions
  • create and use master documents and subdocuments
  • insert chapters in one file
  • add tables of contents and figures.

You will learn how to format the front sections of a thesis, including:

  • a cover page that meets ANU Policy requirements
  • declaration
  • acknowledgments
  • abstract
  • list of abbreviations
  • table of contents
  • list of tables
  • list of figures.

A checklist before combining chapters into one long document is provided.
