We are improving our digital landscape to enable world-leading research through technology, continuous improvement, and strong partnerships. By creating collaboration across our campuses, we aim to maximise positive outcomes for our research community.
Recent initiatives we've delivered
New research collection management system
In February 2025, ANU introduced a new research collection management system to improve how our nationally and internationally significant research collections are managed and discovered, enhancing access for researchers and the public.
Research Portal Plus (RP+)
In July 2024, we launched Research Portal Plus (RP+), a centralised place to showcase our researchers' expertise and projects. It provides a single place for ANU researchers and higher degree research (HDR) candidates to manage their professional profiles and publications.
Enhancing our HDR candidate experience
To better support ANU HDR candidates throughout their journey, we are developing more user‑friendly and efficient workflows to replace the current candidature eForms. These improvements will streamline processes and reduce administrative burden for candidates and staff.
What's coming next
This initiative aims to strengthen the University’s research project management through integrated lifecycle and modern digital capabilities. Early discovery will focus on understanding current processes and defining future, system‑agnostic business processes.
