25 July 2018

The ANU SAGE Self-Assessment Team (SAT) has welcomed a new Chair and several new members, who will help oversee and guide the preparation of the University’s application for a Bronze institutional Athena SWAN award.

The Self-Assessment Team welcomes the following new members:

  • Provost Professor Mike Calford - SAT Chair
  • Associate Professor Cathy Banwell – ANU College of Health and Medicine
  • Dr Jananie William – ANU College of Business and Economics
  • Mr Geoff Tattam – Associate Director Culture & Development, Human Resources

“I’m pleased to work alongside my colleagues from across ANU on the SAGE Project, to advance gender equity at ANU,” said Professor Mike Calford.

“The Self-Assessment Team will develop a four year action plan that sets out the steps ANU will take to become a more inclusive and equitable University. I’m looking forward to guiding this process.”

“Thank you to the outgoing Chair, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Professor Margaret Harding for her ongoing commitment to the SAGE project, and gender equity at ANU,” he said.

ANU will apply for a Bronze Institutional Athena SWAN award in 2019, as a priority in the current ANU Strategic Plan.
