Discussions underway on new safety management system

Work continues on the Workers' Compensation Self Insurance project with further progression of a new safety management system.  Workshops and discussions have been held to hear feedback on proposed framework and governance solutions for the system. Once a proposal is finalised it will go to the project steering committee for review.

Next steps in the process are the discovery phase in which the external consultant will begin assessing business unit needs and having discussions around what existing documentation meets legal requirements. This requires meetings with subject matter experts in many areas of the University. More information and formal communication of this phase will go out in the next few weeks.
