Count the Ways – first ever tax appeal for The ANU Fund

The first ever tax appeal for The ANU Fund has received generous support from the ANU community, making it one of the most successful ANU fundraising appeals to date.

Alumni received letters and emails based on their donation history, college affiliation, age and location, asking them to support the valuable work of The ANU Fund.

The theme ‘Count the Ways’ was chosen to reflect the many ways donors and alumni have had a positive impact on the University, including through the School to Tertiary Outreach Mentoring Program (STOMP) which pairs ANU students with refugee students from Dickson College, and by helping ANU Indigenous students attend the World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education.

ANU students Ani Lee and Braedyn Edwards were the public faces of the appeal, sharing their stories of how they have personally benefited from the generosity of ANU donors.

The artwork was designed by ANU Alumna, Nadia Ingrid, to celebrate Australia’s native flora and fauna and highlight the role of ANU as the national university.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, the appeal has received $67,171 in donations so far, which will ensure that The ANU Fund can continue to support areas of greatest need across the University.

The annual tax appeal now forms an important part of the University’s strategic program of Annual and Regular Giving activities that continue to grow and improve, year on year.

Annual giving activities are a crucial part of building a culture of philanthropy for the University, for the benefit of everyone in the ANU community.
