A free shuttle bus service will provide pick-ups and drop-offs from and to the Lindsay Pryor car park.

Commencing Monday 29 January, the Campus Traveller, a free shuttle bus service will provide pick-ups and drop-offs from and to the Lindsay Pryor car park.

In Semester One 2018, the service will trial a shuttle service between Lindsay Pryor and Acton Campus in the morning, offering returns from early afternoon to accommodate the needs of our existing users as well as recognising the needs of students and staff with family commitments and for those who cannot purchase parking permits. The bus can accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers.

The uptake and interest in the Campus Traveller since its introduction in September 2017 has been encouraging and will continue with a refreshed service, following constructive feedback on the service offerings and times, the service has now been refined to offer pick up and drops offs to Lindsay Pryor only.

The Campus Traveller will pick up from Lindsay Pryor car park at 8:30am, 9:00am and 9:30am only and offer return journey every hour from 2:30 pm with the last pick up leaving campus at 5:30pm. The Lindsay Pryor Car Park is free and you don’t need an ANU parking permit to ride the bus. The ANU parking permit system is flexible and user friendly, permits can easily be activated and deactivated online via the Vpermit system.

Please note if you have a parking station permit and cancel it to take advantage of this service, a parking station space may not be available should you decide to reactivate your permit.

The pick-up and drop-off locations on Acton campus are National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) car park, Hancock Library, Coombs building and Lennox Crossing, Crawford Precinct. The first pick-up point will be NCI at 2:30pm, arriving at Hancock within 2 minutes, followed by Coombs and arriving at Crawford by 2:36. Please note these times are approximate and you should continue to use the bus tracking service to check with accuracy the location of the bus. The bus can be tracked via the ANUOK app (iTunes and Google Play).

The service will commence on Monday 29 January and will run every workday until the end of Semester, Friday 25 May, as a trial.

During this time we will actively seek your feedback and encourage you to email or call the Parking Office with any comments or concerns.
