Configuring your desktop devices

To configure your desktop computer or device, follow the instructions below based on the Operating system and Email client you are using.

• Outlook for Mac
• Outlook for Windows

Incoming and outgoing email server (IMAP)

Incoming

• Server type: IMAP
• Server hostname: outlook.office365.com
• Port: 993
• SSL: SSL/TLS
• Authentication: OAuth2.

Outgoing

• Server hostname: smtp.office365.com
• Port: 587
• SSL: STARTTLS
• Authentication: OAuth2.
• Username: Uni-ID@anu.edu.au (e.g. u1234567@anu.edu.au)
