Jawun
The ANU has a firm and evident commitment to corporate citizenship and views engagement in supporting change in Indigenous communities as a core part of that commitment. The University and Jawun entered into a three-year national ‘Collaborate’ partnership, which was launched during National Reconciliation Week 2022. You can listen to Paul Duldig (previous Chief Operating Officer) discuss the partnership here.
The ANU offers senior academic and professional staff the opportunity to collaborate with Jawun regions by providing mid-tier support through participation in secondments, executive visits and leadership initiatives that:
- Build the capacity of, and support for, Indigenous individuals and organisations to achieve their goals
- Assist Indigenous peoples to access mainstream economic and educational opportunities
- Provide opportunities for non-Indigenous secondees to strengthen their cultural competence and
- Support Indigenous peoples to bring about health and social reform.
