Staff Respect Consultant
The Staff Respect Consultant is here to provide free and confidential support to ANU staff experiencing issues that may impact your work experience, engagement, career development and your health and wellbeing. This could include, but is not limited to, ablism, sexism, racism, discrimination, harassment, bullying and sexual harassment.
The Staff Respect Consultant has career and education experience in supporting vulnerable communities in university and not-for-profit settings. With knowledge and education in mental health, including mental health first aid, suicide intervention training and skills working with people in crisis, the priority is to work from person-centred and trauma-informed practice frameworks. This means that you will be treated with dignity and respect and will receive a transparent and confidential service that will empower you to make choices and connect with others.
If you would like to discuss a matter with the Staff Respect Consultant, please use the contact details listed below. Emails are responded to within 48 hours. You can remain anonymous when calling the consultant by noting that you would not like to provide identifying information.
You can also receive workplace support through the College/Divisional Human Resources Practitioners who provide a range of operational and consulting support services to, and provide the first point of contact with, their local staff within the parameters of University delegations, HR policy, procedures and guidelines set by the Chief People Officer. They also contribute to HR policy development.
