George Booth

Prior to joining the media team, George was working as a broadcast journalist for WIN Television based in country Victoria. From covering breaking news and local issues to state and federal politics and human interest stories, working in the regions was an opportunity for him to report on a variety of news and give a voice to regional and remote communities.

His time with Sky News Australia provided an opportunity to gain valuable insight into the operations of a metropolitan news service and helped shape his broadcast knowledge. After growing up in the UK and emigrating to South Australia when he was young, George’s travels have taken him all over the country and now to Canberra, where he is enjoying spending time in the nation’s capital.

He brings with him a great understanding of the broadcast medium and his goal is to help the University gain more TV coverage and promote far and wide the meaningful work of the ANU.
