Amy Capuano

Editor of ANU Policy Brief

Amy is the Editor of ANU Policy Brief – a new digital platform for time-poor policymakers needing quick access to evidence-based research. She has spent her career translating complex ideas into simple, compelling language. Before joining ANU, Amy was an experienced government speechwriter, drafting speeches and op-eds for three Prime Ministers, the Foreign Minister, and Education Minister. She most recently spent five years working at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet – the heart of federal policymaking and planning in Australia. Amy also spent 15 years as a journalist, including at CNN in Hong Kong, the BBC World Service in London, and the Insight Program on SBS. Her own writing has been published in the Lowy Interpreter and E-International Relations. Amy has a Bachelor degree in Journalism from RMIT and is studying Master of International Relations at ANU.
