Next steps for data integration

The data integration project business case has been endorsed pending final refinements. The next step for the project team is to get a better understanding of what technical integration solutions are on the market. An Expression Of Interest (EOI) is being drafted and will be presented at the next project Steering Committee meeting at the end of July.

The EOI aims to investigate potential solutions that could be used to:

• automate manual processes by sharing data between systems
• reduce the cost of building and maintaining integrations in the future
• improve data quality and consistency between our systems
• unlock new opportunities to use data which was previously not possible.

Information gathered from the EOI will be used to better inform the University of the products available on the market and assist in the development of a detailed Request For Proposal (RFP).
