Work on the construction of a temporary demountable to allow the refurbishment of the child care centres on campus has commenced. The demountable will be in place until June 2025. This work requires the temporary partial closure of the Constables Cottage car park. To commence site works, 27 parking spaces have been cordoned off.

From Monday 24th April 2023 to 23rd June 2023, 37 additional spaces will be cordoned off until the demountable is in situ (Note: reduction of these car spaces will be undertaken in phases; phase 1 includes the reduction of 23 spaces from 24/04/23 to the 13/05/23, and phase 2 includes a further reduction of 14 spaces from 13/05/2023 until the 23/06/2023 when the 37 spaces will be reopened. These temporary closures will not affect designated drop off child care spaces. Authorised spaces will be relocated next to the Carshare parking bay.

The following changes to parking will be made to accommodate this loss of parking spaces:

• A temporary car park, accommodating 19 vehicles, will be constructed on the corner of Bachelors Lane and Liversidge Street. This will be available from the end of April 2023
• The car park near Lennox House will be sealed and parking bays marked. This will yield approximately six additional parking spaces. This will be available from the end of April 2023
• Following the removal of the Environment Centre and Recyclery buildings on 22 April 2023, the area will be graded and extra parking spaces installed. This is expected to yield approximately thirty additional parking spaces and will be available from end of May 2023
• There are parking spaces currently available within the Acton Underhill parking station. If you would like to take up this option please contact the parking office on the number below and a member of the team will assist you
