Live TV broadcast capability

SCAPA can provide the technical capability to contribute expert commentary directly to television broadcasters from locations across campus.  Multiple access points have been enabled, providing a convenient service to ANU experts and broadcast quality connectivity to broadcasters.  The service is currently restricted to ABC TV & SKY TV, a number of international broadcasters will be connected in the coming weeks and months.

How do I access the service?

Contact the SCAPA Multimedia Manager who will liaise with the TV producer and broadcast technicians to establish a link with the broadcaster at the nearest connection point to your office.

How does it work?

A LiveU operator will arrive at the nominated access point 30 minutes from broadcast and set up camera, audio and LiveU equipment. Setup and connectivity takes approximately 15 minutes. This leaves time for you to prepare, speak with the producer regarding your contribution and if time permits, speak with the TV presenter or journalist before going live.
