2025 Election for Professional Staff Representative

On 10 June 2025, The University formally gave notice to all eligible UniSuper Professional staff members the need for nomination for the election of one professional staff representative of The Australian National University (ANU) to the UniSuper Consultative Committee (USCC). Notice was provided via email, with an On Campus notification being distributed on the same day. In line with UniSuper Guidelines, the nomination period was open from 10 June 2025 to 20 June 2025.

Only one candidate was nominated, meaning that, in line with the UniSuper Guidelines, the candidate has been automatically appointed as a member of the USCC.

The successful appointee is Ms Qing (Anita) Xiao, whose term in the professional representative position commenced on 7 July 2025.

Anita is the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis in Finance & Business Services. She has previously acted in the Deputy Chief Financial Officer role and, prior to her career in corporate finance within the higher education sector, specialised in superannuation tax planning, wealth creation, and family trust planning. We are confident her insights and experience will be invaluable in representing the interests of ANU staff and contributing to the strategic decisions of the UniSuper Consultative Committee.
