Emergencies on campus

ANU Security provides security services to ANU and assist with emergency services to respond to emergencies on campus.

Emergencies

If the emergency is of a life-threatening nature, dial 000 and state the nature of the emergency.

If dialling from an ANU internal phone you will need to dial 0000. Your call will be transferred to the appropriate trained emergency operator.

Then call ANU UniSafe on 02 6125 2249 (extension 52249 from internal phones). All phone calls made to ANU Secuirty are recorded for security purposes.

Most ANU buildings have trained first aid officers. Seek help from nearby staffed buildings in the case of medical emergencies.

For after hours support, the switchboard operator number will automatically divert to ANU Security.

Hazardous material emergencies

Staff faced with hazardous material emergencies-including chemical, photographic, biological, needles/sharps and radioactive emergencies should contact ANU Security on extension 52249.
