Alexander Longmore is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) with a diverse background spanning clinical practice, disability support and psychology skills training. He has worked in administration coordination at a psychology training college for several years before moving into therapeutic roles as both a psychologist and registered behaviour support practitioner within the disability sector.
Alexander uses an eclectic, client-centred approach incorporating psychometrics and counselling methods tailored to each individual client. He has supported clients from a wide range of backgrounds, including young children to older adults and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. He has experience treating presentations that include emotional difficulties (e.g., depression, anxiety and anger management), workplace-related stress and relationship/family difficulties.
As Adviser to Staff, Alexander is dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of university staff at the ANU.
