HDR Update

Last week our 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) finals were held at Llewelyn Hall. ANU hosts the biggest final in the world, and it’s always such an exciting night. Thanks for showing up to cheer on our twelve finalists from across the ANU. Huge congratulations to our winner Saishyam Ramesh for picking up both the first prize and the People's Choice award and Nick Bariesheff for being the runner up. Saishyam Ramesh won a cash prize of $5000 and will go on to represent ANU at the Asia Pacific 3MT final in October.

Feeling inspired? You don’t need to wait until next year: consider taking part in Visualise Your Thesis. Training sessions start next week. There are prizes up for grabs but more importantly you will get to meet peers from around ANU and learn some great research communication skills.

The new Research Ethics Management System (REMS) will go live on 8 August. Everything you need to know, including training and links to the REMS SharePoint site can be found here. We will run a workshop for the HDRs in October. Please keep an eye on our next HDR Update for more details.
