HDR Update

Welcome to 2022.

The year has not started the way we all hoped. The university is moving back to on-campus work and study and we will see more face-to-face activities starting in February. I am looking forward to celebrating graduation from 7-9 February where we will welcome HDR candidates who have graduated since 2020.

I hope you have been able to take the time to relax and enjoy the summer. When you are working hard towards a demanding long-term goal, research by Alex Soojung Kim Pang at the University of Berkeley demonstrates that taking time out actually boosts your productivity. It’s also fun.

In 2022 I will be working hard with the Researcher Development team and the Graduate Research Office to roll out our PhD Strategy which will see additional support and development opportunities open up throughout the year. We will keep you posted.

Our #ANUHDR Thesis Proposal Review Bootcamp is a three day 'deep dive designed to help you finish writing your document and start putting together your presentation.

2-4 March inclusive, via Zoom: TPR Boot Camp registrations close 18 Feb.

Emotionally Intelligent Researcher workshop

This workshop is part of the Resilient Researcher program which is designed to support HDR candidates and ECR's throughout their research by building and maintaining psychological wellbeing, enhancing communication and relationship skills and developing career confidence.
