ANU Story Project

29 February 2020

It’s an exciting time for all things ANU Story.

Following several months of consultation at the end of 2019, we are finally able to see how community feedback has contributed to the refined creative and narrative aspects of the ANU Story Project.

We are still firmly in consultation and feedback phase and have created a number of opportunities for people to engage through open presentation sessions as well as a feedback form, which can both be accessed at  anu.edu.au/anu-story

Another important component of the Project is how we set up the mechanisms to ensure the ongoing success of the ANU Story once it is implemented.

One of the ways we are looking at addressing this is the creation of a group of Communication Professionals from across the University.

Our research has found there are more than 150 people working across the University who have the term Communications, Media, Engagement, Events and Digital in their title – plus possibly more – who currently have no shared motivation to engage with each other.

The ANU Communicators group will work together on how best to make the network valuable for everybody – socially and professionally – but our initial thoughts are the group will come together to share ideas, participate in professional development opportunities and just catch up with a group of like-minded people.

Our first networking event is on Wednesday 25 March, 6pm, at the Kambri aMBUSH Gallery. We’ll start with drinks, nibbles and networking, before an interactive presentation by our ANU Story creative agency partners FTP. If you’re interested in attending please RSVP here. We would also appreciate you forwarding this link on if you have any colleagues who could benefit from joining the ANU Communicators Network.
