About Our Training

ANU Online provides training on Wattle (Moodle), Turnitin, Echo360, Adobe Connect, and best practices in using technology in your teaching. This includes a variety of hands-on sessions delivered face-to-face on campus and online, as well as regular drop-in sessions. All sessions are delivered by education technology experts with extensive experience working with ANU academics and systems.

Who is it for?

All our training is open to all staff at the ANU, including lecturers, tutors, demonstrators, professional staff, and postgraduate students.

How do I enrol?

You can register for any of our sessions using HORUS. Select Training Catalogue and select the session you are interested in. You can also look at individual sessions for more information by click on one of the events listed in the block on the right-hand side. Registrations are essential so we can inform you of any changes to your session. To register for a session, click on the training session that you wish to attend. (The list of training sessions is located in the Events block on the right of this page). You will then be taken to the description page of that training session. To Register through Horus, click on the Register now button which is located on the Top right side of the training session page.

On-Campus Training

Run in computer labs on campus, face-to-face structured training sessions can guide you in how to use Wattle, Turnitin, Echo360 and other technologies to teach more effectively. For a complete listing of sessions, please refer to the Events block on the right. Sessions are scheduled to coincide with semester dates.

Self-Paced Online Training

Want to learn how to use Wattle but can't make a face-to-face session? Learn at your own pace in the Wattle Basics Online course. It covers all the essential information about setting up a Wattle site, creating and marking assignments, and communicating with students. Learn more.

Drop-In Sessions

If you need one-on-one help or have detailed questions, stop by one of the our drop-in sessions. Held each Wednesday during session, you can receive individual support from a Wattle expert. Learn more.
