Thesis Proposal Review (TPR) Toolkit

Provider business unit: Research Training »

What is TPR Toolkit?

Research Skills Training offers a two day intensive workshop to support your TPR twice a year. The thesis proposal review is the first big milestone in your candidature where you are asked to produce a substantial piece of writing. This workshop is designed specifically to help first year students entering a research degree straight out of an honours program, or professionals who are returning to study after a long break to meet this challenging milestone. We will immerse you in our intensive ‘writing studio’ (based on our successful thesis bootcamp program) where you will learn the secrets of highly productive academic writers. Along the way you’ll pick up a range of tactics and strategies to help you be the boss of the rest of your PhD.

When are TPR Toolkit workshops offered in 2017

Tuesday and Wednesday 18-19 April, 9 – 5pm both days.
Tuesday and Wednesday 17-18 October, 9 – 5pm both days

How can I apply?

ANU Research Skills and Training programs are extremely popular and spaces are limited to 24 per camp. Places are offered on a needs basis, as with everything that Research Training offers, our camps are an inclusive and safe space for all students to work. These workshops are targeted for students writing towards their TPR. Your application will go through an application process assessing your thesis progress, goals for the camp and personal circumstances.

TPR Toolkit is advertised in our Research Digest, which is mailed to all research students at the start of every month, on our website and on our Facebook page.
