Training with Ginger Gorman:

1 July | Communicating confidently through the screen
8 July | How to get your research in the media

Why should you enrol in HDR Media Bootcamp Online?

Old media or new? Social or traditional platforms? In today’s digital-first media landscape, it’s hard to keep on top of what works. When sharing your research, do you ditch legacy media for a stab at viral success? And how the heck do you get heard when everyone, yes, everyone, has something to say?

This online training course is run by two working journalists with nearly 40 years of experience at leading media and comms brands. ABC. Fairfax. News.com.au. CNN. Vogue. You name them, they have pitched and been paid by them; produced content for them; and built relationships that freelancers, media consultants and public relations and communications professionals would buy you more than a coffee for.

You will learn:

  • What do media editors want?
  • How to get your research "out there"
  • How to recognise a story that a publication will want to tell.
  • How to ramp up your success rates of pitching your research and raise your emerging profile
  • How to package your idea to make it attractive to editors, freelancers, podcasters, and social media influencers

Sue White and Ginger Gorman are working journalists with 40 years of experience between them. They have an extensive background writing for, producing and working with some of Australia and the world’s biggest radio and TV stations, newspapers, magazines, and online publications. This means you will be learning from journalists with current, insider industry knowledge.

After Media Bootcamp, you will have the formula and tools to approach all media opportunities with ease and confidence.
