Provider business unit: Research Training »

The ANU Research skills and training team run university wide programs for all Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Candidates at ANU.

Events and workshops program

Our workshops are designed to support HDR candidates in their work, drawing on expertise from the broader ANU research community. To find out what events and workshops are currently on offer visit our Eventbrite Page.

All events are open to all HDR candidates, supervisors and early career researchers. The events are multi-disciplinary and help you develop transferable skills and knowledge that will be useful to your future career.

The events and workshops program focuses on three main areas of the Viate Researcher Development Framework, which outlines skills and attributes necessary to being a successful researcher

Engagement and Impact: academic publishing and communicating research findings.

Research Governance and Organisation: Ethics, research integrity, IP and copyright, research strategy, project planning and delivery.

Personal Effectiveness: career management, networking, team-work and personal productivity.

All ANU HDR candidates are sent notice of upcoming events, but research supervisors and other academic staff can subscribe to our ANU Research Seasonal Gazette to keep informed of upcoming events and opportunities and to the Monthly ANU Research Digest to find out what other research training events are on at ANU.
