Technology transfer handbook

This handbook has been developed for staff and students of The Australian National University whose research has led to a novel discovery or invention that they would like to commercialise.

Its goal is to introduce the basic concepts and issues involved in the commercialisation of University inventions. It is designed as a resource for creators, to aid discussions between them and the Technology Transfer Managers at Innovation ANU, to assist with the evaluation of the invention’s potential, and to help bring that invention to market. This handbook is designed to address the specific issues facing creators who may be considering commercialisation of their research, and provides principle information around the technology transfer practices and policies specific to ANU.

Please note, this handbook is designed as a starting point only. There is a wide range of further support available as creators proceed down the commercialisation pathway, many of which are discussed in this handbook.

Contact Innovation ANU if you would like further support.
