NSW Government- Environmental Research Grants

The aim of the Environmental Research program is to support research projects that help address environmental problems in NSW.

The objectives of the Environmental Research program are to:

  • generate new knowledge or information to facilitate local solutions to environmental problems
  • discover new methods of operation for NSW industries that are less harmful to the environment
  • provide knowledge about general environmental problems
  • assess environmental degradation.

Research Grants

Grants are available for applied biophysical, social or economic research that relates to the program’s priorities.

In 2016, the Program Priorities will be;

  1. Biosecurity
  2. Climate change
  3. Waste and pollution
  4. Mechanisms for social engagement

Organisations may lodge a maximum of three applications for each program priority to this program, and a maximum of twelve in total. Projects should aim to commence between 1 January and 1 March 2017.
