ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hubs

Scheme Objectives

  1. encourage collaborative Research and Development projects to address challenging industry issues solved through innovative research relevant to the Industrial Transformation Priorities
  2. attract investment from the global and international business community by underpinning internationally-recognised excellence of Australian universities and their industry partners
  3. leverage private and international investment in targeted industry sectors

Funding Available

ARC will provide up to $1 million per annum funding for each Research Hub for a maximum of five (5) consecutive years.

Partner Org Requirements and Cash

  •  A Proposal must include at least one Australian Partner Organisation
    • Partner Orgs must not be a University or AIATSIS; or a controlled entity or more than 50% owned by Universities/AIATSIS.
    • Partner Orgs must have evidence of new or on-going collaboration with the Admin Org,
  •  The Partner Org must make a contribution of Cash and/or In-kind. The combined Partner Org contributions (cash and in-kind) must match the total funding requested from the ARC.
    • Where any Partner Org has at least 100 employees, the Cash contribution must be at least 75% of the total funding requested from ARC.
  • The Partner Org should demonstrate a genuine commitment to the project and be prepared to collaborate on the project.

Selection Criteria

  •  Proposed Project - 30%
  •  Feasibility and Benefit - 30%
  •  Collaborative Research Environment - 20%
  • ·Investigators - 20%
