ARC variations

Over the duration of an Australian Research Council (ARC) grant, various changes in circumstances may require a request for a Variation of the Funding Contract/Agreement.

It is highly important that the College Research Office is informed as soon as any changes to a grant are forseen. If a Variation is not submitted promptly, this may result in the ARC deciding to recover the grant funding.

Researchers must forward Variation requests to their College Research Office (CRO), who will advise whether a formal Variation is required and assist with the completion of the Variation documentation.

ARC variation proforma & attachments

The Variation of Funding Agreement Proforma is available at the ARC variation to funding agreement. This is updated regularly so it is important to always get the proforma from this location.

For Research Administators

College Research Offices should forward completed Variation documentation to the Research Services Division (RSD) by emailing arcpostaward@anu.edu.au. RSD submit all Variations to the ARC as the ARC insist on only one contact point for each University.
