Animal Ethics Training

The ANU Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (AEEC) requires all staff and students working with animals at the ANU to undergo training in animal ethics; and theoretical and practical training applicable to their research requirements before commencing work with animals. Training is essential in ensuring high levels of animal welfare are maintained in both the biomedical and wildlife fields. Principal Investigators are responsible for providing the AEEC with details on the training and experience of all staff and students working with animals under their approved protocols.
