Hydration stations

Hydration stations have been set up to discourage the purchase of bottled water and encourage people to use reusable drink bottles. They have been installed at Union Court, Fellows Park, and South, Willows and North ovals. The water is filtered to ensure high water quality.

The purchase of bottled drinking water has become very popular even though Canberra has extremely high quality drinking water. As a result, bottled water is a significant environmental problem due high carbon emissions associated with its production and because it is a major source of litter.
