Staff and student pivot tables

Important Notice

The Department of Education, Skills and Employment is revising the higher education data collections.  This project is called the Transforming the Collection of Student Information (TCSI).  The pivot tables will be directly affected by the government changes. If you use the pivot tables on a regular basis, please let the ANU Insight team know immediately so that we can work with you to manage impacts from the changes. The information provided here relates to staff, students, and admissions. While the majority of student and staff data are based on official validated data reported to the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), some of the student information is based on data extracted from production systems (e.g. Weekly Enrolment Monitoring and Admissions Reporting) and are provisional.


ANU student data collections include pivot tables for load, enrolments, program completions, progress rates, retention rates and attrition rates. Data collections contain official information as reported to DESE as well as provisional information for the current year. Note that weekly enrolment monitoring data are now included in the main load and enrolment pivot tables.

The staff data provided in our pivot tables relates to staff employed by ANU. It is based on data extracted from Human Resources (HR) production systems which are formally reported each year to DESE.

The full year data for full time and fractional staff are a snapshot as at 31 March, while the data for casual staff are accumulative for the full relevant calendar year.
