Foundations of Higher Degree Research (HDR) Supervision Workshops are a core component of the ANU HDR Supervision Development Framework.

Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshops are directed primarily to those new to supervision, but all HDR supervisors are welcome. Participation in a Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshop is a required component of ANU HDR Supervision Initial Registration for those new to supervision. There is no cost for these workshops.

Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshops

Facilitators – Professor Peter Kanowski, Deputy Dean (HDR Supervision) and Dr Cally Guerin, Researcher Developer (Researcher Development).

Focus – The Foundations of HDR Supervision Workshop situates HDR supervision in the context of ANU policies and procedures, discusses core elements of good supervisory practice, and explores principles of successful supervision.
