Workers Compensation Self-Insurance application

The University has submitted the revised self-insurance licence application for consideration to the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation (SRC) Commission on 18 October 2017.

The submission includes details of the second staff consultation round, revised information on the University’s Claims Management System (CMS) and the revised CMS Transition Plan. This was necessary due to the changes to the University’s proposed claims management arrangements (from Australia Post to Comcare as its contracted third party claims manager); and the decision to take over all existing workers’ compensation claims (including the tail) from Comcare.

The SRC Commission is scheduled to consider the University's application at its meeting on 29 November 2017 for a Self-Insurance licence commencement date of 1 July 2018.
