Event: Electrical power outage at the Chifley substation 11292 associated with replacement of high voltage switchgear

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Part of the high voltage switchgear in the Chifley substation 11292 is to be replaced.  This will require a full power isolation of Chifley substation and affects all the buildings that take a power supply from this substation. To maintain  power to the affected business units a generator will be connected to the Chifley substation.  The timeframe to connect the generator is in the order of 2.5 hours.  Business units will NOT have power during this period. As noted above power will be restored to the business units by 5.30am.  

During the period from 5.30am Monday 15 April to 5.30am Friday 19 April, affected business units will be supplied power from a generator.
