'Let’s Take the Next Steps', is the National Reconciliation Week 2017 theme
National Reconciliation Week is celebrated across Australia each year between 27 May and 3 June. The dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey - the anniversaries of the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision.
The Australian National University is a proud participant in the reconciliation journey and is committed in part to closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
The University's vision is for an Australia that provides equal chances for all, while recognising and respecting the special place, culture and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians.
