Getting Started in Wattle - Introduction to Online Platforms at ANU

Come along to this practical, two-hour workshop introducing the online learning environment at ANU. The workshop will look at Wattle (which consists of Moodle as the main underpinning platform), including: 

·         Layout of your Wattle page

·         Books

·         Quiz

·        Assignment and Turnitin 

This workshop will show you how to find your way around this learning environment, how to use the common functions, and where to go for more information.

There is also an option to stay on for an extra half hour, if you would like support for specific issues or would like to have more time to explore the online learning environments.

Who is it for?

This workshop is particularly suitable for staff new to the ANU, including academic staff, tutors and demonstrators, and anyone responsible for teaching and learning, and for professional staff who play an education support role. It may also be helpful as a refresher for other staff.

Who is running it?

This course is facilitated by Katherine Kwan (Learning Management Technology Specialist with Learning Systems Support Group). It is co-facilitated by someone from the Centre for Learning and Teaching.

The ANU Centre for Learning and Teaching supports academics across the university in their teaching and effective use of technology. There is a variety of trainings on offer, including self-paced online training, and face-to-face sessions on campus.
