The University's existing Collaboration Platform, Alliance, is being replaced with the Office 365 Collaboration Toolset. This will deliver a modern and more effective collaborative solution to the ANU Community by the end of Quarter 4 2019.
Office 365 includes several services, which all support collaborative work in a digital environment. SharePoint is used to co-author documents, manage versions, apply workflows, and discover and share information. Teams is focused on real-time communication, including with people outside ANU. Groups provides mailing list capability and One Drive stores your personal documents.
Existing users of Alliance will have the option to migrate from Alliance to the new SharePoint platform with the help of the Project team.
