1. Do I need to turn on the AV system?

Yes, the AV system will need to be turned on for the lecture recording to work. This is often a digital panel located on the lectern. The recording will capture whatever is being displayed on the projector screen. For dual projector venues, only one screen will be captured.

2. How do I use the rechargeable wireless microphones?

The wireless rechargeable microphones are kept in charging stations on top of the lectern. Remove the microphone you wish to use from the charging dock and turn it on. Once you are finished, return the mic to the charging dock (so that the red light on the dock turns on).

3. Where should I clip the lapel microphone?

Clip the lapel microphone to your chest, such as on your lapel, shirt collar, or lanyard so that it is pointing towards your mouth. Make sure that it is not covered by your hair or clothing to ensure the sound is not muffled.

4. What do I do if the microphone batteries are flat?

If the rechargeable wireless microphone batteries are flat, return it to the charging dock on the top of the lectern. As an alternative, use one of the hand-held microphones (also located on top of the lectern) or the hard-wired microphone on the lectern.
