Echo360 is a university-wide system designed to record lectures and other lecturer-created video for use in Moodle (Wattle).
An upgrade of Echo360 to the Active Learning Platform (ALP) is scheduled and will be completed for the start of the 2018 teaching year. Existing Echo360 enabled venues will be progressively upgraded to ALP between 30 October 2017 – 22 December 2017. Room upgrades have been scheduled to avoid interruptions to teaching. Please see Room migration schedules under User Guides.
Echo360 ALP facilitates in-class engagement and participation through interactive activities such as polls and quizzes, and Q&A discussion space. The tools support flipped classroom, personalised and student-centered models of teaching and learning. At its most basic, Echo360 ALP still provides fully automated lecture capture services, allowing students to stream or download recordings of lectures after class.
Here is a brief introductory video to Echo360 ALP.
